Who makes it
Send Dubs is made and run by Film Kode Ltd, a trusted leader for playback and app development for on-screen film and TV. Film Kode has built on-set screen technology since 2018, when its first job was Departure (an in-flight entertainment system for an aircraft set), and was registered as Film Kode Ltd on 18 January 2019: a private limited company in the UK, company number 11776562, registered office in London. It builds bespoke screen technology for film, television, commercials, live events and brand activations: the phones, tablets, computers, live video and interactive screens seen on set, with native iPhone and Android apps that actors use during the take. Its credits include Industry (HBO), Ted Lasso (Apple TV+), Bad Sisters (Apple TV+) and The Night Manager (BBC). It is owned and led by Wesley Armes-Mather, who developed the system and has been its director since the company was formed.
The music side
Film Kode's link to music runs through BassDrive, the drum & bass radio station that streams 24 hours a day. Film Kode built the station's official listening apps: BassDrive Player for iPhone (with iPad, Apple Watch and CarPlay) and BassDrive Player for Android, each with the live stream and the week's show schedule in your own timezone.
Send Dubs' radio recognition comes from the same place. If the owner of a tune ticks the recognition box, FilmKode Identify keeps a fingerprint (not the audio) so partner internet radio stations can recognise it when it's played, and the owner sees where it gets airtime.
