For DJs
Why do I need a code to open a link?
Promo links are locked to the DJ they were sent to. The first time you open one on a device we email a six-digit code to the address the promo went to. After that the device opens every promo sent to that address (up to three devices; swap out the oldest yourself if you need a fourth). If you are signed in to a DJ account with that address, no code is needed.
Why can I not download yet?
Some labels ask for a rating, or a rating and a short comment, before downloading. Once you have sent it the downloads unlock. "Not interested" skips a promo without rating it.
What is the MP3 320 option?
Every download offers the original file and an MP3 320. Both carry the title, artist, BPM, key and cover, so they drop straight into Rekordbox, Serato or a USB stick.
Is my copy different from other DJs' copies?
On watermarked promos, yes: each DJ gets their own copy with an inaudible mark, so a leaked file can be traced to the copy it came from. Please do not forward links or files.
Why has a tune disappeared from My tunes?
DJ access ends on the date shown on the promo, usually two weeks after release and at most 90 days after upload (longer on some plans). The label can also take a tune down.
I get promos at several addresses.
Add each address in Settings and confirm it, or tick "Add it to my account" when you enter a code while signed in. Everything sent to any of them appears in one library.
For labels and artists
Why can't I send to a contact?
Promos only go to people with recorded permission who have not unsubscribed. Record how they agreed on the contact, or let DJs ask you from your release pages and the label directory.
What counts against my plan?
Promo emails (one per DJ per promo, however many tracks), different DJs reached, active storage and promos per month. Reminders are free. Allowances reset monthly.
Why is sending paused?
Sending pauses automatically when bounces pass 5% or spam complaints 0.3% over 30 days. Clean the list to people who asked for promos, then contact support to resume.
How do I know if a tune was played, not just downloaded?
DJs can mark "I played this" with where and when. Each tune's stats show plays, listening time, downloads, ratings, comments and played-out counts, with copy buttons for quotes.
What is watermarking?
On the Label plan every DJ's copy carries an inaudible mark. Upload a leaked file on the track page and the leak checker names the copy it came from.
Can I run more than one label?
Yes. Add labels in Settings → Your labels and pick one on each track or release. For a label that needs its own DJs and profile, make a second workspace.
